How to Manage Pain from Mouth Ulcers



Mouth ulcers can be painful and uncomfortable, but there are ways to manage the pain and get relief. Here are some tips on how to manage pain from mouth ulcers:

1. Rinse your mouth with salt water. Salt water can help reduce the inflammation of mouth ulcers and provide temporary relief from pain. To make a saltwater rinse, mix 1 teaspoon of salt into a cup of warm water and swish it around your mouth for 30 seconds before spitting it out. Repeat this several times a day as needed for relief.

2. Apply ice or heat therapy. Applying an ice pack or cold compress to the sore area can help numb the pain while heat therapy like a warm compress can increase circulation in the area and reduce discomfort caused by inflammation.
