Psoriatic Arthritis

Psoriatic arthritis is a type of inflammatory arthritis that affects people who have psoriasis. It is an autoimmune condition that causes joint pain and swelling, as well as stiffness, fatigue, and other symptoms. Psoriatic arthritis can affect any joint in the body and can range from mild to severe. Treatment typically involves medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologic response modifiers, and physical therapy.
