Sinusitis

Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses, which are air-filled cavities in the skull. The condition is usually caused by a virus or bacteria, and can be acute (lasting less than four weeks) or chronic (lasting more than 12 weeks). Symptoms may include nasal congestion, facial pain and pressure, headaches, fatigue and a fever. Treatment may involve antibiotics or other medications to reduce inflammation and clear the sinuses.
