Vaginal Infection

Vaginal infection, also known as vaginitis, is an inflammation of the vagina caused by an imbalance in the normal vaginal flora. It is usually accompanied by symptoms such as itching, burning, and discharge. Common causes of vaginal infections include bacterial vaginosis (BV), yeast infections, and trichomoniasis. Treatment for a vaginal infection depends on the cause and may include antibiotics or antifungal medications.
