Fungal Nail Infection

Fungal nail infection, also known as onychomycosis, is a fungal infection of the fingernails or toenails. It is caused by a variety of fungi, most commonly dermatophytes and yeast. Symptoms may include discoloration of the nails, thickening of the nail plate, and separation from the nail bed. Treatment options include topical antifungal medications and oral antifungal medications.
