The Link Between Diet and Developing Oral Cancer



Oral cancer is a serious health concern that affects millions of people around the world. In addition to eating a healthy diet filled with fruits and vegetables, it is important to maintain good dental hygiene habits such as brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, flossing daily, limiting sugary snacks between meals and avoiding tobacco products in any form (cigarettes, cigars etc.). All these practices help protect against both gum disease and oral cancers by keeping teeth clean and healthy while reducing exposure to carcinogens associated with tobacco use.
